Vaccinations for Adult Dogs and Cats
Adult
dogs and cats still need vaccinations.
More importantly, they need to be examined
annually by a Veterinarian.
The most important thing you can do for your pet is to make sure they are examined by
a Veterinarian annually. Why? Well, dogs and cats age
about seven years for every year that passes. A lot can
happen is seven years. Specifically, we monitor your
pet’s weight, check for lumps or growths, monitor the
health of his teeth, check his ears, heart, and lungs,
and look for health concerns that you may have missed.
We offer recommendations to help keep him healthy and
happy.
In addition to the examination,
most pets will need some vaccinations. At Sunnyside
Veterinary Clinic, we follow the modern American Animal
Hospital Association and the American Association of
Feline Practitioners guidelines on vaccinations.

protocols.
And let's not forget deworming, If
you really want to scare yourself, go read about what
the Center for Disease Control (the official government
organization) has to say about deworming pets. Or maybe
you’d rather just take our word for it that it is
important to deworm your pet at least annually.
Have your puppy or kitten's vaccinations administered by
a professional.
We follow the new AAHA and AAFP vaccination guidelines.
This means that we use some different vaccines and give
them less often than in the past.
