Sunnyside Veterinary Clinic provides emergency care outside of regular business hours
on an on-call basis. This means that neither a veterinarian nor staff are present at
the clinic outside of regular business hours unless by special arrangement. Dr. Nield
is almost always personally available to help you with your emergency needs.
If you have an emergency, or a situation you feel may be an
emergency, call the regular clinic number
523-2513
Our answering service will take the call and patch you through
to the doctor on call. Do not hang up. If you hang
up and try calling another clinic, Dr. Nield will not be able to
call you back because the line will be busy.
In the rare event that you are unable to contact Dr. Nield, there
is an emergency clinic that is open 24 hours a day, Friday PM through
Monday AM and holidays. Their number is 552-0662. While they are not
associated with Sunnyside Veterinary Clinic, they will be able to help
you with your emergency. There may be cases where Dr. Nield feels that
the emergency clinic may be better equipped to help you and your pet,
and he may refer you there if needed.
Emergency visits start at about $78. Payment is requires
at the time of service. We regret that we are unable to
extend credit to emergency clients that are not regular clients
of Sunnyside Veterinary Clinic.
The doctors at Sunnyside Veterinary Clinic often work long hours
during the day. While we are happy to help you in the case
of a serious emergency after hours, we ask that you not use the
emergency service for non-emergencies.
